9th Business Excellence Awards Expands from 12 to 21 Categories

The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) has announced a major expansion of its Business Excellence Awards (BEA), increasing the number of award categories from 12 to 21, with the Prime Minister’s Award as the 22nd award.

The announcement was made by Julieth Ataraia Tausinga, Vice Chair of the BEA Committee and Board Director of SICCI, at the official soft launching of the 9th annual Business Excellence Awards.

“This year marks a significant milestone for the Awards and for our business community,” said Mrs. Tausinga. “This enhancement reflects our commitment to recognizing excellence across a broader spectrum of industries and achievements, ensuring that more of our outstanding enterprises and individuals receive the acknowledgment they deserve.”

The 9th Business Excellence Awards will be held on 7 November 2026 at the Friendship Hall, Panatina, under the theme “From Resilience to Empowerment: Elevating Business Excellence Together.”

Mrs. Tausinga said the theme reflects the private sector’s transition from responding to adversity toward actively creating opportunities.

“For years, resilience has been our watchword—a necessary response to the challenges we have faced. However, our vision now is to move beyond merely responding to adversity and toward actively creating opportunities,” she said. “It positions empowerment, partnership, and progress as the essential next phase of our collective growth.”

Through the 9th BEA, SICCI aims to recognise the resilience and adaptability of Solomon Islands businesses, encourage innovation and investment, strengthen partnerships between the private sector, Government, and development stakeholders, and celebrate those building a stronger, more inclusive nation.

Nominations are now officially open. Nomination forms and full category details are available through the SICCI office and official communication channels. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 9 October 2026.

“I invite you all to join us on the 7th of November as we come together to celebrate excellence, foster collaboration, and chart a course toward a future defined not by our challenges, but by our shared empowerment and success,” Mrs. Tausinga said.
