The Asian Development Bank has given a grant to the Ministry of Infrastructure’s Development Domestic Maritime Support Project, specifically to support the subsidised shipping services sector.
A government statement today says the grant will be used to subsidise shipping services to remote areas in the country.
Provinces who will benefit from this grant’s subsidised shipping service include Rennell and Bellona, the Weathercoast of Makira Province, as well as Ulawa in Makira Province.
