An officer of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) at the National Traffic Department (NTD) who had an accident with a police-marked vehicle was suspended under half pay.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Operations Mr. Mathias Lenialu said the suspension came after the matter had been referred to the Commissioner of the RSIPF, and he was suspended on half pay.
DC Lenialau said the decision is very crystal clear that even a police officer is not above the law. RSIPF is making sure that its officers comply with its governance on RSIPF vehicle policy and the law of our country.
