The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal Department (EODD) will conduct a live demolition of bombs at Hells Point, in the Alligator Creek area east of Honiara, on 24th February 2026.
Supervising Director of EODD, Senior Sergeant Peter Ririvere says, “The Hells Point Demolition Range in Central Guadalcanal will be active from 9pm to 1pm (24 February 2026).
“Farmers, fishermen, hunters, and the general public in and around the Henderson area, Alligator Creek, and Tenaru School are kindly warned to keep out of Hells Point while the operation is in progress.
