The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit is continuing their investigation and have gone as far as the United States of America (USA) to confirm the origin of the pipe that exploded and killed two people last week.

Bomb blast kills father and son, 2 others in critical condition
A suspected bomb blast at LDA area, Upper Betikama in east Honiara has killed two people, a father and his son who is a grade five student. The father died during the blast at around 7pm and his son died at around 9pm tonight at the National Referral Hospital Emergency department in Honiara.

3.5 TONNES OF WWII MUNITIONS HAULED AT HELLS POINT
An Australian clearance dive team has hauled in over 3.5 tonnes of WWII munitions from the water at Hells Point in Guadalcanal. A media statement said the Operation Render Safe has found 82 United States 155 millimetres high explosive projectiles covered in barnacles near Alligator Creek.
