A four-day youth market opens today at the Art Gallery, Honiara.
The Youth market showcases local food and culture with the theme “Back to our Roots.”
Youth Market Officer Gino Oti says the theme is chosen from the Democratic Coalition for Change’s (DCC) policy to help promote local food and acknowledge Solomon Islands’ culture and tradition.
Gino says they want the youths participating in the market to appreciate their culture and local food, not only for the event but also in their everyday life.
Today the market will feature a competition for the best Shaggy voice as well as special performances from the Taiwanese Navy who are visiting the country.
