In sports, the National Futsal team, Kurukuru narrowly lost 3-0 to the Futsalroos in their international friendly match today at the Sydney Olympic Park in New South Wales, Australia.
Australia’s Futsalroos registered their two-goal lead in the first half while confirming their strength in the second half with another goal.
Kurukuru was seen as a competitive team who prepared for the FIFA Futsal World Cup Qualifier but failed to register a goal in the friendly.
Both teams are preparing for the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016 Qualifiers in their respective regional confederations.
The teams have hopes of making a back-to-back World Cup appearance.
The Futsalroos are preparing for their trip to Uzbekistan for the AFC Futsal Championship next month while Kurukuru will head off to Fiji for the OFC Championship on 8th February.
Kurukuru will take on Tahiti Nui in their first match in Fiji next month.
