Mbita’ama community high school parents and teachers have joined hands to reconstruct their school hall, which was blown down by strong winds since Thursday.
Tropical cyclone Raquel, currently down graded to a tropical depression, has caused damage to properties in parts of the country.
Reporting from Mbita’ama community high school, Principal Henry Bare told SIBC News they are reconstructing their school hall, which was blown down by strong winds since Thursday.
He says they have to reconstruct the school hall as it is very important for school and community activities.
“This hall is very important to us because it is the centre for all gatherings from the surrounding communities, even school fundraising, graduation ceremonies, conferences held with teachers and the Mbita’ama public and even NGO’s conducting workshops can also use the hall.”
He said they hope to complete the hall reconstruction soon if the weather permits.
SIBC News understands, the hall was a semi-permanent building which was also blown down by tropical cyclone Pam in March this year.
