Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition Jeremiah Manele has said he is sure the Democratic Coalition for Change Government will take on the outstanding national projects under the 2014 Development Budget.
Contributing to the motion on the resolution of Parliament last week, Mr. Manele said projects like the Tina Hydro, Munda International Airport and others are critical for the long-term development of the country.
“There are also important national projects in the 2014 development budget such as the Tina Hydro project, the Munda International Airport, Suafa Bay and various infrastructure projects that are still being implemented or yet to be completed. How will the DCC government treat these ongoing national projects? Will these continue to be priorities or not? These priority projects are critical as far as we are concern to the long-term development of our country. Am sure the government will take these on and see how best to prioritize these projects in the first quarter of next year and of course in the substantive budget for 2015.”
