Gov’t plans deficit of $972.6 million in 2022 budget

The National Government has planned for an overall deficit of $972.6 million in the 2022 Budget with total consolidated revenues estimated at $3.559 billion and total expenditures estimated at $4.531 billion.

The government’s total Budget expenditures for 2022 is $4.531 billion. Of this amount, the total recurrent budget is estimated at $3.050 billion. This consists of payroll budget of $1.363 billion, $1.666 billion for Other Charges, and $20 million in Contingency Warrants.
