The Police National Traffic Department have arrested a 38-year-old male suspect in relation to a fatal accident at Kukum highway road opposite St. Barnabas Cathedral.
Police Commissioner Mostyn Mangau said the accident occurred on 11 October 2022 around 7pm in the evening which involved a White Toyota Hiace public bus. The bus was travelling in a westerly direction when accidently hit a woman in her 60s.
Commissioner Mangau said the driver of the bus assisted the women to the National Referral Hospital at about 07:30pm and was pronounced dead.
