SI_Government commits to support MSG

Minister Manele acknowledged the Secretariat for presenting a balanced budget for Members consideration during the MSG Governing Body Meeting as this is critical for the organization.

Hon. Manele said, while noting there are cuts in the work programme, Solomon Islands was pleased with the assurance provided by the Secretariat that this will not affect the work programme’s implementation.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Affairs Minister urged the Secretariat to work closely with its members so they work programmes translate to tangible benefits for its people within the sub-region.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade, Hon. Jeremiah Manele, Acting Deputy Secretary, Cornelius Walegerea and Ellison Mason, Counsellor of the Solomon Islands High Commission in Suva attended this week’s meeting.
