The Solomon Islands and Australian Governments through the National Transport Fund (NTF), with technical support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), are optimistic to extend their road rehabilitation program this year.
In a government statement today, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development and Deputy Chairman of the National Transportation Fund (NTF), Moses Virivolomo says the NTF expects to expand its national road rehabilitation programme in 2015.
Mr Virivolomo adds Solomon Islands Government and its development partners have proposed the initiative as they are pleased to see the benefits of smoother, safer travel reaching more road users in the country.
