A 12-year-old boy from Fataleka, Malaita Province has sustained serious wounds after he was reportedly attacked by a crocodile. Father Patrick Bilisi told SIBC News, the incident occurred last week at Aluta River. He said the injured boy was still hospitalised at the Atoifi Hospital in East Kwaio.
Communities in the Guadalcanal Plains have reported diarrhea and red-eye cases of this week. The outbreak is believed to be the result of the bad weather that affected the country last week.

Police yesterday buried the body of Russian who died a couple of months ago and was kept at the national referral hospital morgue. Police say the man visited the country six months ago and died on the 25th of September and remained at the NRH Morgue since. The identity of the man is still unknown
