A father of seven from Choiseul Province has appeared behind bars this morning at the Magistrate Court, for allegedly raping his young teenage daughter in 2013. The father in his 40’s is charged with seven counts of rape.
The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has called on community and church leaders to report cases of family violence so that police could deal with them. A statement from the police said they have received a total of 37 domestic violence cases so far, for the months of November to December.
